organization enables a world-class manufacturing and supply chain organization by increasing visibility and efficiency across diverse systems and processes and delivering predictive analytics and insights. The team supports Pfizer's Core Manufacturing & Engineering Solutions, while enabling a secure, seamless flow of contextualized data from the device & control levels, all the way to the top of the Enterprise. The
Global Supply Engineering & Sustainment
team leads the technical support for manufacturing applications and core platforms, overseeing technology and vendor partnerships, and ensuring strong architecture governance. Our mission is to ensure that the platforms, systems and digital capabilities that power our global supply chain are reliable, scalable and future-ready.
The
Senior Manager, Solution Engineering
will lead the design, deployment, and sustainment of Pfizer's COMET (Siemens OpCenter Pharma Execution) and AMPS (Rockwell Pharma Suite) MES platforms across our manufacturing sites. This role will collaborate closely with Siemens and Rockwell, site automation, enterprise architecture and global Digital Manufacturing teams to architect, build and maintain a stable, validated on-premises MES environment that meets stringent GxP and performance standards.
This leader will own the infrastructure architecture, installation, configuration and upgrade execution of these platforms – ensuring high availability, scalability and alignment with Pfizer's enterprise standards.

Role Responsibilities
The
Senior Manager, Solution Engineering
colleague's responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Infrastructure & Architecture Leadership
Lead the end-to-end design, build and validation of the COMET and AMPS on-premise infrastructure (servers, databases, network configuration, virtualization, storage, backup, monitoring, observability)
Define system sizing, capacity planning, and performance monitoring strategies for the MES environment
Deployment & Execution
Lead site-level MES build deployments and cutover activities in collaboration with Siemens, Site Automation, and Global Manufacturing teams
Ensure execution of relese upgrades, including regression testing, validation and business continuity planning
Operational Excellence & Stakeholder Engagement
Establish robust monitoring and observability, alerting, and incident management processes to ensure system uptime and stability
Coordinate with vendors and suppliers as required.
Continuous Improvement
Identify opportunities to enhance system performance, reduce downtime, and optimize deployment processes
